Winter Garden, Scones, and Almost Spring!Over two months since I checked in with a little blog post! I guess time flies when you’re having fun (ok, that was even hard to WRITE!). But we have had some lovely snows here on Long Island, the outdoor studio wears it well, I take long walks on our beaches and rambling parks, yet look terribly forward to Spring! On the other hand, as the snow melts and the weary winterworn garden emerges, the reality of soon-to-come yardwork slows my eagerness for Spring. But staying positive I think of all the calories I’ll burn (freshly baked chocolate chip scones…sooo yum!) – raking, weeding, and carving the woods in prep for nooks and crannies perfect for portraits! So here are a few looks at my Winter Garden, moving into Spring – please check out the various portrait galleries on this site to see how the garden scenes turn into fairytale-like portrait vignettes. Speaking of scones, couldn’t resist adding a few pics of some favorite bakes – Norwegian pancakes and waffles, and Ranch Pudding with Whiskey Whipped Cream – a keeper recipe I found in Bon Appétit about 30 years ago. Enjoy!
