About Outdoor Portrait LightWhether you’re shooting for a portrait or casual snapshot, the most flattering light outdoors is soft, diffused, late afternoon light, often called Sweet Light, or the Golden Hour. Best to research your chosen spot (these images were mostly shot in my garden), because the sun ‘sets’ differently depending on what’s around, e.g. trees, buildings, hills, etc. And then plan your shoot for the best time!
