Some things only come around once in your lifetime. This may not be one of those biggies, like the first time you polished off a pint of Häagen Dazs in one sitting (gasp!), but it rates enough for its own book. Mom and Dad were jaunting off to Paris for a week (read Tabi’s Paris post here), so the children spent the entire week getting me ready for a very long nap, or rather, overlapping naps.
I thought I’d wait to show off a few pages from the book (view the book on blurb.com) until Tabitha has the book in her hands, so mum’s the word for a week or so. If you happen to run into Tabi or Larry, let it be for now.
The kids and I went to the Long Island Aquarium, the Butterfly Garden, the Long Island Game Farm, and just as much fun, Grandma’s Garden, replete with ‘hot pool’, hammock and secret garden(s). Here are a few images from the book, starting with the cover.
PS. This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
